Monthly Haul

Hey Beauties ,

This week we decided to do a collective monthly haul and first impressions from the shopping trips that we did in April and this month . This haul includes make-up , skincare and even some fashion bits. We hope that you enjoy reading this as much as we loved shopping !

Skin Care Products :

I'm really not the type of person that buys skincare for myself because I usually use my mum's stuff , I know that I shouldn't , but when it comes to skincare I'm really lazy . But my skin decided to go crazy and started to break out and so I decided to sort that mess by buying new products.

Good Things Acai Berry Micellar Water - This cleanses and soothes the skin , removes face make-up and eye make up like a dream in just one swipe ( just don't get it in your eyes because it burns like hell ).

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion - Besides breaking out my skin was really dry which was very weird because usually my skin is oily to combination but due to our harsh winter my skin went from that to dry . This moituriser not only gives hydration but also has shine-control for clearer looking skin which was a huge plus .Upon applying this product , it felt really fresh on the face and smells really nice especially in the morning because it really wakes you up .

Fashion Picks :

Kiabi blue Kimono - I love kimono's ! They're so easy to wear and dresses up an outfit effortlessly.I paired mine with dark jeans , a basic white t-shirt and gold sandals .

Pale pink Pointed heels with colourful print - I initially bought this for a wedding but ended up wearing something else instead , so I haven't worn this beauty out yet .

Pale pink clutch - Since the colour of the shoes is so unique , I thought it would be smart to buy the bag from the same shop , and the colour is actually pretty close but not exact. Both are bought from a local shop in Malta .

Carpisa White Tarifa Clutch - I've been searching for a bag like this for ages and i finally found the perfect one ! The exterior of the bag is transparent and on the inside there is a clutch/ make up bag which could be used on its own or could be left inside the bag . This bag can spruce up any outfit , it comes in 5 colours and it super affordable !

Make-Up Products :

Brace Yourselves there's a lot !

Essence lipsticks in Coral Calling , On the catwalk and Love me - I love these lipsticks , they're all very pretty but my favourite one out of all the three is On the catwalk.

Essence XXXL longlasting lipgloss in 3 Very berry - I found this so intriguing so I had to have atleast one to try. It's really pretty on the lips and it gives a very nice pinky shine .

Essence Gel eye pencil waterproof in Around midnight and Gunmetal - After trying the brown one I had to try other colours too , these are so creamy , smooth and easy to apply , they don't budge or smudge and stay on for a very long time. These are seriously amazing !

Essence Lash princess Volume Mascara - I have to be honest , Initally I bought this for the packaging cause it's so cute , It's a volumizing mascara , its seperates the lashes and looks really nice and I like it but I think I still prefer the get big lashes volume mascara from Essence over this .

Essence frame 4 frame single lashes mix and lash glue - I tried using these but I failed and after putting lashes for 10 mins on one eye , I gave up and removed them because I didn't have time to spent another 10 mins putting lashes on the other eye , but the few that I did looked great.

Essence I love nude eyeshadow in My favourite tauping - It's so smoooooooooth ! It has a domed shape so i'm not sure if it's a baked eyeshadow or not , but it's colour is great for colour of an all over the lid look or for a transitioning shade .

Nyx Hot Singles eyeshadows in Damage control and Coquette - These are pigmented and look very pretty. I paired them together to create a soft purpley look. They are very blendable.

Essence lipliner in Soft berry , Satin Mauve , Cute Pink , Red Blush and Honey Berry - I love these ! They're the first lipliners I have ever used and I think I'm converted , they look so good and stay on the lips for ages . Satin Mauve and Honey Berry are my fav out of the 5 for sure . I paired Satin mauve with the essence lipstick in love me and it looked amazing , kind of a Kylie Jenner lip but more pinkish nude than brownish because I don't really like brown lips on me and Honey Berry with one of the I love makeup lipsticks in I heart my lips. The Body Shop Moisture Foundation - I have mixed feelings about this foundation , it has light coverage and it doesn't really covers any blemishes so I have to use extra concealer when I use it. It looks nice on the skin and all that but it's certainly not the best foundation I've used .

Essence Silky Touch Blush in Baby Doll and Summer Dreaming - Summer Dreaming is a new blush and as the name suggests it will look great in summer with a tan , these are not that pigmented but they're still pretty and very affordable

Essence Cinderella blush in So this is love - Oh my ! I was sold on the name and the packaging alone , the colour of this blush was a plus really , its like bright coral / bright pink . It's so pretty !

Essence Glow highlighter in Bright up your life - This gives such a nice sheen ! I've been esperimenting with contouring and this brightens up the face beautifully.

Palettes :

Essence Cinderella Palette in It's more than I ever hoped for - Again I bought this because it was from the Cinderella collection , there are some wearable shades there like the 1st, the 5th and 6th colour but the rest they're really not my cup of tea . The colours are all glittery and pigmented .

Catrice Absolute Rose eyeshadow palette - It's Rose Gold !! For a drugstore make-up brand I was seriously impressed by the colours of this. It has 6 eyeshadows , 2 of which are matte and the rest are glittery. I haven't use this yet , but when I swatched , these looked pigmented and creamy.

Stila The eyese are the window palette in Mind - I can't say enough nice things about this ! It's my very first stila product and it certainly wouldn't be the last. I'm not going to say lots about it hear because I'm thinking about doing a seperate blogpost about it soon.

Brushes :

Nyx B15 / Essence Blending Brush - Fluffy Brushes , great for blending ! The nyx one is much better to deposit the colour , the essence brush is softer and so I prefer it for blending and softening the colours.

Real techniques Powder Brush - My holy grail brushes ! Big fluffy brush for an all over the face dust of powder .

Essence blush brush - I use this to contour as its shape is ideal to carve out those cheekbones !

Essence powder blush - Instead to powder I use this to blend the face products together , so that it wouldn't leave any harsh lines.

Nail Polishes :

I love nude - Cupcake topping

Cindirella - Bibbidi Bobbidi-Boo and glitter topper in The Glass Slipper

That's what we bought this month , we didn't buy these at one go , it's more of a collective haul , these are bought with our own money and all opinions are our own ! Sorry for not posting much these days but we had some personal things to deal with and also our final exams are coming soon so bear with us :)
